- publicar el Llamamiento a la Acción y la lista de miembros firmantes como una declaración de intenciones permanente;
Juntos debemos:
- muestran de forma inequívoca que los entornos de la primera infancia no son inmunes a la opresión racial, sino que están sujetos a la supremacía blanca, al antinegro y a otras formas de opresión racial;
- explicar las formas en que la supremacía blanca y la antinegrosidad están presentes y operan en las instituciones, políticas, prácticas y sistemas de creencias que apoyan la educación de la primera infancia en particular;
- demuestran cómo la supremacía blanca y la antinegrosidad pueden frustrar el desarrollo de los niños, impedir la justicia educativa y amenazar la posibilidad de que los niños pequeños prosperen matemáticamente;
- examinar nuestra implicación personal y colectiva en estos sistemas y estructuras y tomar medidas para romper el statu quo de la supremacía blanca, transformando las experiencias educativas y convirtiéndonos en actores y defensores antirracistas;
Racial Justice in Early Math: A Call to Action

Promising Math 2022: Racial Justice in Early Math
Learn more about our previous (virtual) event focused on Racial Justice. We took a deep dive into problems of systemic racism and the ways they injure our youngest math learners.
As part of the event, we heard from educators, parents, scholars, and community members who have developed creative and inspiring ways of providing mathematics education opportunities that circumvent or disrupt the systemic racial injustices embedded in our educational systems. There were several opportunities to connect with others who care about this work, building new relationships with like-minded colleagues.
