Our Resources
Our goal is to improve and provide resources for real-world teaching. This means not just accumulating and distributing knowledge about foundational mathematics, but providing resources that have practical implications for teaching, affecting attitudes and practices as well. Resources are relevant, easy-to-find, and emphasize importance for classroom or teacher education purposes.
We align to the Common Core State Standards so that educators can find what they are looking for according to learning standards. We connect those standards to our own Big Ideas, drilling down to the heart of what standards intend to do, which is communicate what central concepts children need to understand.
Professional learning modules
Our self-guided modules provide materials, strategies, and expert guidance for working with adult learners to explore foundational mathematics. Whether you are working with childcare providers, in-service teachers, or pre-service teachers, modules give you what you need to support professional learning in your local context.
Series
We organize the resources in our Idea Library into series so that you can browse curated collections according to your interests. Some of the series are aimed at teachers and caregivers to provide ideas for mathematizing the world around us, like our Book Ideas and Focus on Play series. Others are aimed at teacher educators or teachers who are interested in professional learning, such as our Focus on Collaboration and Focus on the Child series. You can always use the filter bar in our Idea Library to browse the many series we have available.
