EERIC
The Early Mathematics Education Project provides professional development services to Head Start teachers and teaching assistants as part of Enhancing Early Reading in Chicago (EERIC), funded by a U.S. Department of Education Early Reading First grant.
The program spans three school years (2009-2012), which includes five full days of early mathematics learning labs each year and support to coaches, teachers, and teacher assistants in the ten participating classrooms.
Both learning lab instruction and coaching support is provided by EME team members who are highly qualified faculty with advanced degrees in early childhood and a wealth of teaching experience.
